Women have an innate wisdom of giving birth and parenting but this sometimes becomes overshadowed by the ever growing number of experts in the field. Nina seeks to assist women and their partners, by providing them with all the information and practical tools they will need, to enable them to enjoy the experience of becoming parents!
Nina Thorstensson Nwese is a registered nurse, nurturing birth trained doula, baby massage teacher, certified life coach, and complementary health practitioner with experience in pre and post pregnancy. Nina is also a certified Dr Bach practitioner.
Nina has been trained in coaching and breathing techniques in Sweden, the UK and the US. She works closely with parents to be, assisting them and inspiring them to feel safe and plan for the birth they would like. Nina offers Life Coaching, pregnancy massage and manual lymphatic drainage from the KX Gym in Chelsea. She also sees clients privately.
Nina works as a birth Doula in central and south east London.
What is a birth Doula?
Giving birth to your baby should be an empowering and positive experience. A birth doula is someone who assists the woman and her partner to feel prepared for the birth, provides support and information during the weeks leading up to the birth, and is with them during the birth itself. She lends comfort and encouragement to both the labouring mother and her partner. Her role is not to replace the partner (unless required), but to help guide a couple to a happier and more positive experience.
Every couple is different and will receive customised care & support to suit them, based on their individual circumstances and preferences.
